Teck is a diversified mining and mineral development with operations and projects throughout not only Canada, but also the US, Chile, and Peru. In 2020, they had a revenue of $8.9 billion and gross profit of $2.8 billion.
For over one hundred years, Teck have led the way in producing a diverse range of commodities such as copper, zinc lead and silver, plus other industrial products such as fertilizers, steelmaking coal and energy.
Teck oversee the entire process from mining, refinement, smelting and manufacture. So, as you can imagine, Teck’s operation lines in Trail, West Kootenay’s, are really put through some heavy-duty work and left incredibly dirty by the time production comes to a temporary halt for annual shutdown and maintenance.
During shutdown, Riteway Mechanical Services spend several weeks working around the clock at Teck’s Trail operations to clean, service, repair and install new machinery. We are delighted that such a well-respected company continues to acknowledge the amazing work Riteway’s millwrights do each year to facilitate the optimum performance of their many production lines.
